Los Angeles No. 1 has been rechristened Isis Lodge No. 1. Lodges of Aspirants to Light are initially named for the city in which they are chartered. After a Lodge has grown to seven members in good standing, it has the right (but not a requirement) to petition Grand Lodge to adopt a new name selected by consensus by the entire Lodge membership. The Los Angeles area membership (which reached that size long ago) now has taken advantage of this provision to choose a new name to reflect its vision and aspiration. Our congratulations to them!
